Copper Glam Eyeshadow Tutorial

If you’ve read any of my latest posts, you’ll remember that I’ve recently bought three loose pigments from Mac. One of those pigments was in the shade ‘Copper’ and I decided to create a look with it that I absolutely love. I know that most people would class this look as a ‘glam’ eyeshadow look which is why I’ve titled it that, but glittery/shimmery shadows are what I wear all the time, so for me this is potentially an everyday look. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately and I thought that I would share it with you all because it’s not hard to create whatsoever! 🙂

I start by priming my eye lids with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer, this is my holy grail eyeshadow primer as it keeps my eye makeup on all day and all night. Not that I ever wear it for that long, but I have on a couple of occasions and it hasn’t budged, creased or smudged at all.

I use my Zoeva 227 Soft Definer brush with ‘Wedge’ from my Mac palette, which is a really light soft brown shade. I place this all over my lid as a crease colour and base. I then go back in with the same brush, but this time I use ‘Embark’ from my Mac palette which is a deep reddy brown shade and I apply this in my outer V and bring it in slightly.

I then use this flawless concealer brush from Elf to blend it all out, I use this because it’s a really soft fluffy brush and it works perfectly at blending shadows.

I then use another fluffy eyeshadow brush with my Mac loose pigment in Vanilla, and I apply this on the inner corners of my eye to brighten them a little. I also apply some under my brow bone with a normal flat brush.

Then comes the best part! I use my Zoeva 234 Luxe Smoky Shader brush to apply the Mac loose pigment in Copper all over my lid. I don’t find that this falls out at all and it’s super pigmented and looks so pretty and glittery.

I use my Zoeva 315 Fine Liner brush with my Maybelline Gel Eyeliner to line my eyes and create a wing. I don’t find that I get as smooth a finish with this as a liquid liner, but I still love this, it’s really easy to apply and from a normal view you can’t tell anyway.

I then use my Soft Kohl eyeliner pencil from Rimmel to line my upper waterline. I like that this makes my lashes look fuller and brings my eye look together.

I then curl my lashes, add some mascara and pop on some falsies, these ones are in Wispy from Red Cherry.

And that’s the finished look! I’ve been pairing this with a nude lip, my favourite has been ‘Shy Girl’ from Mac 🙂
