IT’S JUNE! I’m literally so excited, my birthday is on the 15th and I turn 21 so I’m going to get a beautiful cake and I’m going to spend the weekend in London aaaah, it’s going to be so good! Anyway on to my last months faves, I don’t have that many, as I spent most of last month trying to save my money after buying a rather expensive camera, however, I did buy a couple of bits and they’re all in this post so keep reading!
I was in dire need of a new makeup bag last month, and I really really wanted a black leather one but they’re all so expensive and then I came across this one on notonthehighstreet, and I thought it was super simple but really cute and I wanted it. There are a few different quotes and things, but this was my favourite one, and there was also a personalised option, so as cheesy as it is, I got my blog name printed on the back. I really really love this, it was super affordable and fits literally so much stuff in so it’s perfect for me.
I’d heard good things about Soap & Glory’s Kick Ass Concealer and I needed a new concealer so I thought I’d give it a shot considering how much I love Soap & Glory’s products. I really like the concealer and it covers my redness and blemishes really well, although I tend to use the yellow toned shade more as my skin has yellow undertones, but both blend in really well with my face. This also comes with a translucent powder on the top so it’s a great little thing to take travelling.
My favourite highlighter last month was Makeup Revolution’s Triple Baked Highlighter, this is a really shimmery highlight that is slightly pink, but it just looks so pretty on my cheekbones and I love it. It’s so cheap too at £4.99. I previously did a review and swatch on this here.
There’s nothing I love more than a red lip and I’d been debating buying Mac’s Ruby Woo Lipstick for a while after someone recommended it to me. I finally caved and got it, and I wanted a lipliner to go with it, so I got the Mac Pro Longwear Lipliner in Kiss Me Quick. I’m really impressed with the lasting power of both of these, the lipliner in particular, and I adore them paired together, such a pretty red!
Another lip colour I’ve been loving is Wet n Wild’s Lipstick in Think Pink, topped with my Mac Pro Longwear Lipglass in Persistent Peach. Both of the lipsticks are pretty on their own, but together they create such a cute peachy pink colour, the swatches above left to right are, Wet n Wild’s Think Pink, Mac Persistent Peach, and then both of them together. You can see me wearing this combo here.
And finally, if you saw my last months faves, you’ll know that I bought the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in the wrong shade, and now I have the right one! This shade is Chantilly and it’s perfect for hiding my dark circles and brightening up the under eye area, and best of all, it doesn’t crease! I love it, it’s pretty great at covering blemishes and redness too, if you want to use it for that as well.
That’s all my May faves, what were you loving last month?
