I'm stuck in such a blogging rut at the moment, I've been posting quite a bit lately but I feel like I've run out of good blog post ideas. I'm constantly feeling inspired when it comes to photography and I'm always wanting to take photos, it's just what I'm taking photos of that I'm struggling with! Anyway, I'm putting it down to being really stressed about the whole moving situ and hopefully once I get moved (which should be in a few days!) I'll have my own office space sorted out and I'll be able to get more organised and back on track. I have loads of post ideas that are home related but obviously I can't do them yet which is annoying! Anyway I've not posted about lipsticks for a while and we all love lipsticks don't we? So I thought that I would share the three faves I've been loving this winter.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil: Walkyrie | £20.00
I love everything about the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, the formula is so creamy, glides on like a dream and is also completely matte! Walkyrie is a deep brown based nude and it's my favourite NARS shade as it's so lovely to wear, and it gives you a really 'put together' look yet it takes seconds to apply. I love that it's in a pencil form too, it's so quick & easy to use and it's great for popping in my handbag to top up if I need to. I've been saying for ages that I want to get more of these as I only have two, so hopefully this year my collection will grow!
MAC Satin Lipstick: Twig | £15.50
Mac Twig is such a gorgeous shade, I don't usually go for satin finishes but I just had to get this one as I was desperate to get my hands on it. I've worn this so much over the past few months and I love the pink undertone it has yet it's still that deep berry shade that's perfect for the colder months. I actually think this is a beautiful colour to wear all year round, I've just been loving it this winter especially!
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick: Bond Girl | £23.00
CT Bond Girl is easily my favourite out of all three, I have been absolutely obsessed with this lipstick ever since I bought it. The colour is just to die for, it's everything I've ever looked for in a wintery berry lip. I really wanted that perfect berry red for Christmas and whilst I didn't think this was 'red' enough, it arrived and couldn't have been a more perfect match for my skin tone, I'm in loooove. It's lovely and bold but not over the top, and this is definitely my new go-to when I want a pop of colour.
I will admit that these are very similar shades but there's definitely a difference between all three, from the finishes, the application and especially when they're on the lips. I love them all and they're probably going to be my go-to's every winter from now on! What's your favourite winter lipstick?
