Winter Essentials.

The essentials that are getting me through the winter months…

Whilst it isn’t “technically” winter until later this month, it sure as hell feels like it with how cold it is at the moment. I’m pretty sure the entire UK has had some sort of snow over the past few weeks, we got our dose last month and then a bit more this month, so we have really been feeling the cold. Today I’m sharing a few things that I’m loving lately and that are keeping me nice & cosy!

winter essentials

I’ve had super dehydrated skin lately and I haven’t been able to survive without a good face oil and moisturiser, the duo that I’m loving lately is the Antipodes Divine Face Oil followed by the Clinique Moisture Surge. They are keeping my skin nice and hydrated so that I’m able to apply makeup without it clinging horribly to all my dry patches! I’ve also been loving the Lush Cup o’ Coffee Scrub, it makes my skin so soft giving it the exfoliation it needs – not to mention the overpowering scent of coffee, my fave!

I’m also obsessed with hot bubble baths during the cold months, they make me feel so cosy and relaxed. I’ve been addicted to the Rose Jam Shower Gel lately, I use it as a bubble bath rather than covering myself in it and it makes the dreamiest scented bubble bath ever. I highly recommend stocking up on bottles of this as you won’t regret! The Butterbear is also a firm favourite as it leaves my entire body feeling gorgeously smooth – I’ve popped one in Reuben’s Christmas Eve Box and I can’t wait to use it on him!

A good coat and jumper is essential during winter and some new additions to my wardrobe include this Camel Biker Faux Fur Collar Coat from River Island which ahhhhh. Just look at it – it’s such a beaut. I’ve wanted a coat with a fur collar for the longest time and I’m over the moon to finally have one, it just looks amazing with everything! It’s also on sale for £50 from £70 so win-win! I also chose this Orange Chunky Cable Knit Jumper which is so soft and I’ve been loving wearing it all the time, especially whilst the temperature has been so low. I really need to update my wardrobe some more, I’ve been browsing JD Williams as they have some gorgeous knitwear in at the moment, as well as lots of party wear that’s perfect for the festive season!

There’s nothing like a cosy scarf when the weather is cold, and as much as I try and hunt out a new one – I just keep going back to my blanket scarf from last year that I got from ASOS. I absolutely love it, it’s so big and comfy and keeps me so so warm when I’m out and about.

I must light a million candles at this time of year, not only do they literally warm up a room, but they make the atmosphere feel warmer too. I’m still addicted to my gingerbread candles from Home Bargains, I have them lit constantly and they’re all you can smell throughout the house! I’ve also really been loving my Laduree candles, they look super cute and smell so good.

What are your winter essentials? 🙂
