Dark Smokey Eye

So as most of you will know, the last couple of weeks have been known as freshers for most Universities in the country, my ‘freshers’ always lasts two weeks long but the first week is always better than the second. I’ve been wanting to experiment with black eyeshadow for a while as I never really dare go all out and cover my lid in it, but since I was going out clubbing all the time, I wanted to mix things up a bit. I simply used two eyeshadows alone to create this look, both from Mac, but you can use any brand as they are both very basic colours and both mattes. I love this look a lot as it’s really easy to create and doesn’t require any eyeliner which saves a hell of a lot of time! I did wear false lashes with it to give it that extra glam but you could easily go without.

Products used:

Brows // Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in Chocolate with her angled brush.

Eyes // Mac ‘Shroom’ to highlight the brow bone.
Mac ‘Embark’ as the crease shade and under my lower lash line.
Mac ‘Carbon’ as the all over lid shade topped with ‘Blackout’ from the Naked 2 Palette for extra blackness.
Mac ‘Vanilla’ loose pigment in the inner corners of my eyes.

Sigma Structural Lashes Mascara in ‘Sinuosity’ to coat my top & bottom lashes.

Lashes are Red Cherry 747S which I wear all the time!

Those are all the products that I used. Like I said, you can swap these shades for any brand as they are very basic and nothing unique. Mac’s Carbon eyeshadow isn’t as black as I would have liked, but Blackout from the Naked 2 palette does the job perfectly! I mixed them both but you could use Blackout alone quite easily.

Hope you like this look 🙂 P.S. I just reached 1000 followers on bloglovin’ yay!
