There are certain deep rose & berry shades I love digging out at this time of year and these are my five favourite picks…
I have many lipsticks that are perfect for Autumn and it was so hard to narrow it down, but these five are the ones that I love most. There’s been a time where I’ve been absolutely obsessed with each of these shades and wore nothing else, so it made sense for them to all come together in one post. I want to call them all berry shades but a couple of them are more rose/pink toned so I’ve just called them my Autumnal picks instead. Each of these lip colours are highly pigmented and look nice and bold on the lips, so this post definitely isn’t for those that like something subtle!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Budapest // £6.00
Budapest is the newest berry tone to my collection and it’s a shade I was eyeing up for the longest time. I’m so glad that I finally have it because the obsession is real! I never reach for liquid lipsticks anymore but this one is so comfortable to wear and the formula is so creamy that I can’t resist. It’s not the most budge-proof lipstick, but I don’t expect anything less from a hydrating formula like this, especially with one that’s such a bold shade. It’s very easy to top up though so I just pop it in my handbag!
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl // £24.00
Bond Girl has been a firm favourite of mine since I got it at the end of last year. I wore it pretty much non-stop over the Christmas period as it’s just my perfect berry shade. I remember being so indecisive over whether I wanted Bond Girl or Walk of Shame but Bond Girl was the only one in stock so I ended up just getting that. I’m so glad I did because it couldn’t suit my skin tone any better!
MAC Matte Lipstick in Diva // £16.50
Diva is the berry tone I was obsessed with the year before last and I couldn’t stop wearing it after buying it, it’s a very vampy shade and I was really into them back then. I still love a good vampy shade and this is always my go-to, it looks so pretty and really makes a statement!
MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig // £16.50
This shade is probably the least berry tone but I feel like it’s the perfect everyday Autumnal shade. It comes up quite dark on me so that’s maybe why, whereas on others it can look a lot lighter. I just love the tone of it so much, it’s so pretty. It’s a satin formula so it’s really easy to wear too, definitely a MAC must have!
MAC Satin Lipstick in Rebel // £16.50
Rebel is a cult classic in the beauty world, it’s not the kind of shade I wear on a daily basis but it makes me feel so Autumnal when I dig it out. It is quite hard to wear as it’s so bold and the pigmentation is crazy. It leaves a real stain on the lips afterwards but this is all nothing a good lip pencil won’t help with. If you love lipsticks with a very purple hue then you need this one in your collection!
