A Classic Bronze Eye.

A Staple Bronze Eyeshadow Look

A classic bronze eye...

A classic bronze eye is a staple for me in the summer months but it's gradually began to become my go-to look on an everyday basis. I feel like the warmth from bronze tones compliments my warm, yellow toned skin and hazel eyes perfectly and I always feel my best when I wear them. I tend to stay away from gold eyeshadow as the yellow-gold just clashes with my yellow undertones and I hate how it looks on me, so bronze shades have always been my preferred choice. Today I'm chatting about my current favourite picks to use for a quick and easy bronze eye!

Bobbi Brown Sparkle Stick in Molten Bronze

If you've read my blog for a while then you'll know how obsessed I am with the BB sparkle stick in molten bronze, it's my all time favourite go-to for a sparkly bronze eye. I'm all about the glow when I do my daily makeup, I love glowing skin and a bit of sparkle on the eyes and the BB sparkle sticks give me exactly that. I actually own two different shades, rose quartz and molten bronze, I love them both but molten bronze is by far my fave out of the two. I love it applied alone using my finger and a bit of blending across the lid, as well as applying a bit under my lower lash line for more definition to the eyes. If I have the time to put a tad more effort in, I will use a matte shadow in the crease and add a bit of highlight to the inner corners. It looks gorgeous however I use it and I'm desperately trying to find a dupe as the sparkle sticks were unfortunately limited edition which sucks!

The Balm Smoke Vol. 4

A recent addition to my makeup stash is the smoke vol. 4 palette from the balm. I was searching and searching for the perfect small everyday palette and found it so hard. I wanted something with the perfect highlight, matte brown and shimmer but small enough for taking out of the house or on my travels without being bulky. The shades also had to be warm toned which was what I struggled with most as a lot of palettes were too cool toned for me. I randomly stumbled across this little gem when Beauty Bay were having an online sale and I instantly fell in love. Priced at something ridiculous like £11 in the sale it was a steal! The shades are absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for, I love using the warm matte shade with the BB sparkle stick, they look fab together. I also like to use this palette alone as it has every shade I need for an everyday look. I apply the matte shade in the crease, the highlight on the brow bone and inner corners of my eyes, and then sweep a bit of the bronze shimmer across the lid. I wouldn't say the shimmer in this palette is as sparkly as the BB sparkle stick, however it's a pretty close alternative. It's definitely more red based and I do love it, I just prefer the sparkle stick a tad more so I would love this one to be closer in colour to that to be 100% perfect. Having said that, this palette is just gorgeous for an everyday look and I would highly recommend picking it up if you're looking for something similar to what I was!
