Many of you may not know this, but I am huge on oral hygiene. It's actually ever since a girl in year 7 told me to stop breathing on her because my breath was bad that I've been a bit obsessed with it. Looking back, that was quite mean - but I'm taking a positive away from it as she did me a huge favour in the long run! Most people think brushing your teeth is enough to keep your teeth & your breath in check but it's not really. Adding a mouthwash to your routine keeps your smile healthy by preventing plaque buildup, and plaque contributes to gum disease and tooth decay so it goes far beyond just keeping your breath fresh which is what most believe! Whilst I am a bit of an oral hygiene freak, I actually really dislike mouthwash, I use it but I'm very fussy on what I use. Over the last few weeks, I've been using Listerine's Nightly Reset and *spoiler alert* I'm a huge fan so I'm here to tell you why...
Listerine Nightly Reset has been specially formulated to defend your teeth against tooth decay and to restore enamel that's been weakened by the food & drink that you consume throughout the day. It's an alcohol-free formula with a new and unique flavour; midnight mint! How appealing does that sound?! It deeply cleans your teeth in all the places that your toothbrush can't go, and reduces all of those germs for that fresh smelling & feeling breath. Whilst it's called 'Nightly Reset' it's actually advised that you use this both on an evening and a morning as part of your regular routine for the best results.
Why I Love It
I'm definitely a huge fan of the Nightly Reset mouthwash from Listerine, for quite a few reasons actually. It's alcohol free so it's not strong which is perfect for me as I have super sensitive teeth and gums. I'd definitely recommend if if you don't like your mouthwash to be harsh. It has a new milder taste, and the best way to describe it is like a mild mint chewing gum - nothing like the strong stuff! Despite it not being that strong in taste, it leaves my mouth feeling so fresh on both a morning and an evening. You can just feel how bad your breath smells when you first wake up can't you?! My mouth has felt so fresh on a morning since I added this to my routine so it's a huge winner with me.
Overall I think it's really important to have a good oral hygiene routine, not only for ourselves and others around us, but to lead a good example for our little ones. It's no different to keeping the rest of your body clean, and let's face it - nobody wants to put up with bad breath in their face! Let me know below if you have tried Listerine's Nightly Reset yet, or if you're planning to after reading this 🙂
